[1000mp] MP Relays

In my shack the sticking relay is in the receive antenna side. The rig is
almost 1 year old, and from the first time I tried using a separate receive
antenna in November of last year its been "sticky". When it happens the
radio goes deaf when I switch back to receive or switch between the transmit
antenna and the receive antenna. Hitting the RX button a few times, or the
PTT a few time will bring it back and it may work for a while and then it
sticks again or it may stick every time for a bit. Anyway its a pain in the
butt when the radio goes deaf when I'm trying to hear if the DX on 80m comes
back to me or not. Its surprising how much a DX station can say in the time
it takes to push the RX button a few time. If I'm using either the A or B
antenna jacks no problems have been seen.
I've seen some place that the relay can be replaced with one Omicron
(probably spelled that wrong) does anyone know if that is true or do I need
to order one from Yaesu. I was thinking of diving into the rig and do the
front end mode, the click mod, the noise blanker mod and replace the relay
in one fell swoop. I'd send it back to Yaesu but I bet they would find no
problem. I work in electronics and I know how hard it is to fix an
intermittent.
