[1000mp] sticking relay problem

Well this seems to be a copy of my experience. From time to time I got
a deaf receiver. Moving the coax line heavy the problem solved.=20
After change all cables and all connectors the problem disappeared for=20
a few month and came back randomly.
Yes I use a MKV but my Kenwood 850 and a vintage Drake TR7 indicate=20
same results.
A special feature came in, transmitting a couple of dits with 5 W rx deaf,
20W rx deaf, 60 W rx came back with full sensitivity. Some times you need
10 W some times 150 W to "overcome" this bad PL-connection here.=20
May be not all "sticking relays" are sitting in steady state.=20
In a hamradio magazine I read a notice, don't use right angle adapters
from .... The pix showed inside a small diameter coil with about 30=20
windings in series with the inner conductor. That's real high tech for incr=
easing/decreasing SWR at low cost - hi.
Best wishes
