Hi Thomas,
The radio's auto-tuner should be disengaged when using an external tuner.
Cascading tuners can reflect high reactance values back into the auto-tuner
and/or LPF. As a result, dangerously high RF voltages can appear across
capacitors in these networks, leading to component failure.
Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [1000mp] FT-1000MP M V with MAC-200
I use the FT-1000MP Mark V Filed with the antenna tuner
MAC-200 from SGC.
After the MAC-200 tuned the antenna to the best SWR its
possible to improve the SWR by switching on the FT-1000MP
internal tuner.
Do anybody expect problems with the FT-1000MP by using two
tuners at the same time together ?
Have a nice weekend!
Bye..
Thomas, DG8FBV
