[1000mp] Power Output Problem

I had an ICOM 701 that was in mothballs for a few years and I decided to
fire it up one day. The power supply worked, the radio didn't, at all. I
sent it to ICOM and they told me it would cost me $600 to repair it, which
was more than it was worth. So I had to get a new one. Guess this solid
state stuff doesn't like sitting around.

Graeme,
Thanks very much for the reply. I checked the antenna ports to be
sure, but I believe there is an internal issue. It worked fine for about 5
minutes until it started to heat up for the first time in a long time.
Guess the downtime got the best of it. I'll keep you posted and let you
know how things turns out.
