[1000mp] Icom vs Yaesu QSK???

My 2yr. old Mark V (200W Ver.), showed the AGC recovery problem
during the contest last weekend exactly as N1EU described. After
the rig was on for awhile, I noticed that when I let up on the footswitch,
there was a few tenths of a second delay before the receive was restored.
I could see the S meter gradually come back up in signal strength. All I
had to do was just tap the footswitch (not even transmit voice), and the
receive delay was noticeable. On the "SLOW" AGC setting, the receiver
recovered instantaneously as one would expect. I just turned the rig on
now and it doesn't exhibit this problem at all. It might be another one of
those nuisances like "Monitor Roughness" caused by moderate use of the
transmitter.
