[1000mp] How good is the MK5?

Keep your 781. Hopefully your CRT is in good shape. You'll wish you had kept
it. It's a better radio IMHO. I've had a Mk5 and 781 side by side for
awhile. I kept the 781.

I've been reading the mail a while and may have gotten a distorted view from
all the concers, mods, upgrades, fixes, etc... being discussed. The reason I
ask this question is that I've been thinking of repacing my IC781 with a new
MK5 but am getting leary after hearing about all the problems. I know the
group can be biased as you are 1000MP owners but I'd be interested to hear
any objective comments from  anyone who has had or has a 781 and how it
compares.
