[1000mp] Mark V learning Curve

When I bought my first Mark V in Jan, it took 3 or 4
weeks to be comfortable with it. But then I sold all my
other rigs and bought a Mark V Field as a back up rig.

The Mark V receiver is mucho better than the Field.
The specs show that and it really is. Better dynamic
range and lower noise figure. If I used the Field much
I would want to put in roofing filters or the 70mhz mod.
I've done many tests both back to back with my other rigs
as well as many on the air checks on CW looking for Key
Clicks. And this new Mark V has NONE. No Key Clicks.
So I know everyone wont believe it, but it appears Yaesu
has finally done something to improve the CW keying.
There is certainly no reason to put any mods on my Mark V.

I woudlnt trade either one of them for Ten Icom 746 ProII's.
Or any other rig that uses all DSP filtering.

There is no substitute for proper analog filtering. Once you fully
equip a Mark V with all the optional filters, it will blow you away
in its capabilities.
