Personally I find that "Raaaadio Raaaadio" and "OOO-lah OOO-lah" pushes the ALC past the red line best on my Mark V Field:<)
Actually I think what some of the guys are saying though is that the different audio tone levels in ones voice on SSB is a poor way to
check VSWR. Personally if I find the need to check the VSWR on my 160-10 meter doublet I transmit a brief low power CW carrier on a clear
frequency. I don't worry about what the VSWR is on SSB.
