Well, update to my problem.

Today I pulled down the G5RV and put up a Radio Works Carolina Windom
80.

Went back in the shack, tuned up the Quadra and presto, the SWR
protection fault was gone. Full output to the new wire with no RF in the
shack or any problems.

Thanks to all who sent their ideas my way. I'm back to being a happy
Mark V /Quadra owner.
