Dear John and Rick.

If you are intending to operate full break in, note that (in my opinion) you need to adjust the (switch to transmit) break in delay to say at least.....10ms to allow the relays to switch over so your not hot switching. I think the default is 6ms which I dont think is enough !!!!!!!
It seems some people have had trouble with the relays in the front end........this could have been caused by the tx on switching delay not being enough.

All the best...........Graeme (G4CKH)

John,
If you only wanted to operate QSK you could do what you suggested. But if
you wanted to operate without QSK you turn off the Break0in switch, and you
turn on the vox switch. This way the rig is not banging away on the relay
with every dit and dah which your amplifier will thank you for. Or you turn
off break-in and use the MOX button to manually switch to transmit, so you
hear no receive noise until you turn it over to the other station. It all
depends on the way you like to operate CW and the MP allows you complete
freedom to have it your way.
