[1000mp] FT1000 MP field problem

Hi Dean, I have an answer on what that adjustment next to the ventilation holes
on the bottom of the mkv field[ not the beap tone] is. I spoke with Fred one of
the yaesu techs at vertex today. this is what he relayed to me. the pot that was
turned is vr2005- notch adjustment. it was not really ment for user adjustment
since a reallignment might be necessary if turned. this is the procedure to do
the allignment.
1-set notch knob to 12 o'clock
2-set radio to usb mode
3- using a signal generator set to 14.2000, inject a 30db signal into the
antenna so239 on the radio
4- set the main vfo to 14.20150
5- you will hear a 1500hz tone.
6- press the notch button and adjust vr2005 pot for a minimum S- meter reading
7- this compleats the allignment- hope this helps you out, vy 73 Rick Moskovits
