Measured RX performance and perceived RX performance are only loosely related.  Filter shape, phase shifts, DSP
artifacts, etc. can have a large influence on how "good" a receiver sounds and on the ability to copy weak sigs without
necessarily adversely affecting measured performance.

BTW, according to W8JI's measurements, the MkV is slightly better than the MP at 2 and 10 kHz and doing his very simple
NB mod on the MkV improves its 2kHz BDR by 6dB and the 2kHz IMDR by 25 dB.  The 10kHz numbers are improved by 3 and 13
dB respectively.
