[1000mp] FT-1000MP Mark V Field Collins Filter Orientation

I purchased all of the optional Yaesu filters for the Main and Sub
receivers.

The Crystal filters appear to be symmetrical and can go in either way
but the 500 Hz Collins filters do not appear to be symmetrical since
there is additional circuity on them but they can physically fit either
way as well.


Upon searching the Internet in reference to the original FT-1000MP I
found a few messages one said: "Those extra components comprise a mild
attenuation circuit"

And another that said: "Crystal filters can be installed either way,
but there is definitely ONE way to install the mechanical filters if
you want the radio to match the schematic published in the SERVICE
Manual (not the Operating Manual).

The Service Manual shows the impedance bridge on the OUTPUT of the
mechanical filter, not the input."


Does any one know for sure what is the correct Orientation for the
Collins Filters for the Main and Sub Receivers are?

I would think that there is only one proper Orientation for these
filters.
