The 830S must rate high in the rankings of All-Time Best-Loved Rigs...
but in that golden haze, let's not forget that even the 830S did have at
least one frequent problem (intermittent board grounding) that was
caused by poor design.
The point is that every rig, from every maker, is liable to have some
design problems. It's the same with any highly complex product.
When we find a problem, we certainly should complain - especially when
the manufacturer really should have seen it coming (and IMO the Yaesu
key-click problem is one that Yaesu definitely shouldn't have missed).
But to some extent, we have to learn to live with it.
