Pelican cases are hard to beat for protection, although
they are *HEAVY* (27.5 pounds EMPTY)!
I bought a Pelican 1650 to transport my FT-1000MP to
Curacao, and then the Signal Point / PJ2T station
started converting over to 'MPs, making my transport
unnecessary (we have three 'MPs on-site).
I never purchased the high density foam, and never
cut the foam that came in it. I keep expecting that
a need will arise, and in the meantime, I *really*
admire the engineering that went into the Pelican
1650!
