I've used my IC-756Pro2 in CW contests with the rise time set to 8 msec
and the speed demons I've answered there at 35 wpm had no apparent
problem copying me. I can't comment on higher speeds.
As W8WWV pointed out in his investigation of the Pro2's keying envelope,
the menu selection of 8 msec actually results in a risetime of 5 msec.
