Barry,
The waveforms of the MP (semi-break-in) and the Mark V (full-break-in) are
virtually identical and both are different than the Field (full-break-in).
So, while there is an anomoly in the comparison due to the testing (which I
was aware of), one would have to surmise that the keying method doesn't
really have much of an effect on the waveform in this case.
My point is not that Yaesu did enough to solve the keyclick problem, but
they DID do something to improve the waveform in the Field. The rise/decay
times should still be made longer, which would go a long way toward
eliminating the problem.
