>>>I don't operate much SSB so I could
put both InRad 1000s where the 2000s<<<
If you put the 1000s in the slot normally used for 2.1 or 1800 filters, =
you will find that the CW carrier won't make it through the filter =
without rotating the shift control. This is OK but it is a bit of a =
pain. I tried this and opted to go with the 1800Hz filters.
I only operate CW and have two 1800 Hz filters, a 500HZ INRAD/Collins in =
tandem with the stock 500Hz filter, and two 250Hz INRAD filters. I also =
use a 500Hz INRAD/Collins in the sub RX. I prefer the 500Hz =
INRAD/Collins for the same reason as Glenn, the broader skirts sound =
better and allow me to hear further away from my frequency. If QRM =
becomes problematic, the shift or width control will usually handle it, =
and if not, the stacked 250Hz filters certainly will.
