Yes, this is quite normal.
I habe about the same with my Mark V and 1000D
With the older FT-101ZD power output on 1.8-7 was ~120 Watts, 14-21 MHz ~100
Watts and 28 MHz ~85 Watts. So it was on the Kenwood TS-830.
