[1000mp] Commanding MP, Mk 5 to new frequency turns off RIT

If I send my Mark 5 to a new frequency using radio control software, it 
appears that the firmware automatically turns off the RIT, if it is on when 
the jump is made.  This behavior is highly unhelpful, but I have not been 
able to find anywhere in the menus to turn it off.  Have I (I hope) missed 
something?  Does this also happen with the original MP and/or the Field?
