[1000mp] CW Tuning Meter Question

I just received a brand new Mark V yesterday.  I changed the pitch to =
400hz and then  tried to recalibrate the CW tuning meter.   But with the =
adjustment pot all the way CCW the lowest freq the tuning meter will =
calibrate too is  500hz.   Has anyone else tried to calibrate the tuning =
meter down to the low end of the range of 300hz? =20
It looks like I might have gotten a defective unit.    W7is@arrl.net
