Hi Don: I may be wrong but it sounds like my experience some time ago
and I sent it my Mark V to Yaesu and they found that somehow my
FT-1000MP Mark V had been reset to European standards (they have
different frequency restrictions than we). I think menu 9 on my
transceiver is the way to set such things but I have no knowledge as to
how to get to that menu or what setting within the menu to select for US
operation nor if that menu applies to the Field model. The tech people
at Yaesu should be able to talk you through the procedure to see if the
problem requires a menu reset solution.. Hope this helps. 73s Don W7UPF
