I used a signal generator and set the S9 point on 14.2 MHz
to 50 micro volts (-73 dBm). In my radio's case that was
essentially where it had been with the IF mod (not the
roofing filter mod). The particular value is 11. As a
setting 10 was too low and 12 was too much gain. As I recall
11 was not exactly what I wanted but since the gain is
"quantized" it was the choice that seemed closest.
Again, that was about where it had been. I recall using 10
for a bit and 11 for a bit when the original modification
was in place so I guess I need a radio that has 10.5 as a
setting for that menu.
