i will have to comment on this 
it is matter of your ears not the radio 
the audio on the ic 7800 and the ic 756prolll sound like the old analoge  
[collins drake or other] however if you do not like this new technology i think  
your not gona like the new 
FTDX9000 coming soon 
don't get me wrong i do have the ft 1000 mark v and love it .
