My advice is to use the rig for awhile before buying optional filters. Then
think hard about the Inrad roofing filter before buying other filters. It
may be all you need depending on your operating habits. When I bought mine
at AES's competitor the sales staff tried everything to steer me to a Pro
II. I played with both but my mind was set for the Field. They were
physically upset with my decision. In fact all talk just about ceased except
for absolutely necessary info. Then I had to wrestle that huge box out the
door myself. The only conclusion I could come to is the profit margin was
greater on the Icom but that's only a guess.
