[1000mp] CAT Commands from Telnet Spot

Hello all,
This is my first post to this group, so I apologize in advance for any
unintentional blunders.
My logging software provider has added DX spotting features to his program
but had no means of testing individual rigs. So I sent him the CAT Commands
as listed in the Manual and, although they work individually, they don't
seem to work smoothly together as required for a DX spot.
I am looking for information on the proper CAT commands and sequence sent
from an on-line telnet spot to my FT-1000MP. I have identified the
individual commands as they appear in the 'MP Operating Manual, but seem to
be having difficulty with either the order that the commands are sent or the
timing of the commands (or both).
As long as I click on spots in the same band and mode (160M CW for example)
the radio responds correctly upon each click. Very smooth.
When I click on a spot that calls for both a mode change and a frequency
change, the radio briefly displays a frequency either +-450 or +-550Hz above
or below the correct frequency. The incorrect frequency stays on the radio
momentarily, then it switches to the correct frequency. A second click
ALWAYS corrects the frequency.
The next spot I click on, the radio again goes to the previously stated
incorrect frequency briefly, then moves to the correct band and mode for the
spot. I think it has something to do with the order in which the commands
are sent for mode, band or frequency.
Although, the rig ultimately ends up on the correct spot frequency, the
route there is not clean and smooth as I have experienced with this radio
and other DX spotting and logging programs. So, it works, but I'd just like
it to be right.
Any FT-1000MP CAT Command experts in the house?

Terry, WØFM
