Hi All,

I talked with Jim Smith at Burkhardt this AM and found out some interesting
info.

The XF series filters and the YF are the same exact filter but there is a
big difference.

The XF is a SOLDER in filter
The YF is mounted on a small PC board and is a plug in installation on the
later radios.

So, you cannot really use an XF in place of a YF unless you have the adapter
board.

I just bit the bullet and ordered all new ones for the Mark V

You mean YF and XF.

XF-110C is old, YF-110C is new. But they have the same specifications.

However sometimes I have seen YF-xxx printed on the box, while there was a
XF-xxx on the PCB.

Nothing to worry about.
