[1000mp] SUB RECEIVER FILTER WANTED

This is a question that arises at frequent intervals.
Consensus seems only to be that one should buy from IINRAD and not
Yaesu.
Some like the poor slopes of the 500 Hz mechanical filter. They
contend that their mental processing is able more quickly to find
calling/working stations who are off frequency when using this filter.
Many prefer the 400 Hz filter with steep slopes and thus with
attendant reductions in mental processing needs. However, one then
needs to tune the #2 receiver more.
Few find utility in using a 250 Hz filter in the #2 receiver. A 250
Hz pair and 400 Hz pair in the #1 receiver paired with 400 Hz in the #2
receiver seems to be the most common scheme for effecting CW filtering
at IFs.

Ask yourself how you expect to use the #2 receiver. The answer will
assist in the selection of a filter for the #2 receiver.
