[1000mp] Pin diode mod.

Fellow hams,
Is there anybody on the reflector who can help me.
I am attempting to do the front end pin diode mod to a 1996 ft1000mp.
I have the nessesary paperwork, Yaesu tec bulletin TB9643,  yaesu uk have sent me some diodes .......product code G2090457.....product DIODE MI204.....
What i'm trying to find out is the manufacturer and type of the above listed diode, i've tried to find out off yaesu uk and all the major suppliers in this country what actually is the manufacturer and type but none of them can help me, apparently they only deal in yaesu part numbers !!!!
The thing is i dont want to replace the original switching diodes (1SS83) with a better but still inferior type.
I have seen this mod described by hams (W7SV) on the VA3CR site but they used HP 5082-3081, one supplier i checked in the uk was asking £3.24 each for this type.
Are the diodes yaesu sent me good or bad ????
