[1000mp] 60m operating requirements (was:60Meters / Why??)

 Hi Blake,

Sorry about the subject line...

Considering that NTIA opposed the grant of any 60m spectrum to the Amateur
Radio Service, in a way US hams were fortunate to get even those few
channels. The FCC presumably views the prime mission of this allocation as
emergency and public-service communications as opposed to general amateur
communications and experimentation.

Canada does not have a 60m amateur allocation, and it is not clear if or
when Industry Canada will grant one.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Boy, 60M sure sounds like a load of fun...

Would it be possible to put the please put the actual subject in the
"subject" line for this one?
