Actually, I often turn on my MarkV Field and start using it almost
immediately. I have never noticed any drift of any consequence...perhaps a
cycle or two at the most after an hour. The standard TCXO of .5PPM does a
good job in a standard home environment (no huge temperature extremes).

rig when I get wake up or get home and shut it off when I go to bed or leave
the house.  After warmup, what's the difference?
