Just so I am clear, are you stating my stock 1000MP will not be legal on 60
meters because of the frequency stability??, unless I purchase the tcxo?.

The rules say that you have to have that stabilty and no more than that
bandwidth on 60mtrs.

I've had a senior moment here. Someone earlier today mentioned that in
order to work 60 mtrs legally you needed the TCXO and then you needed to
change menu 5-9 to 2.4. It's default is 6. Now why do I have to do this?
I have the TCXO and it is installed and I changed 5-9 from 6 to 2.4, but
why? Also what effect does it have on other bands/modes?
