There is a reason Yaesu rates this rig at only 50 watts out continuous
and 100 watts pep.

Sure you can crank it up but......

You will splatter and sound like crap on the air.

Your finals will be stressed and most likely fail sooner.

Your PS will be stressed and most likely fail sooner.

You will void your warranty.

And you will look like a moron to any real hams who know electronics.

All this for half an S unit that is hardly (if at all) noticeable.

If you want more power Buy an amp, eBay has cheap ones all the time.

You don't really see a difference until your up to about 500 watts any
how.

I always ran mine at 25 watts out into my amp for 750 out, and if I
felt real adventurous I'd even run a little more.
