No ... the clicks may happen more often (more leading/trailing 
edges) but the presence/absence of the click is related to the 
shape of the waveform, not how often it occurs.

No ... although an amplifier will make the click stronger by 
the generally same amount as the signal is amplified.  If, 
for example, your radio's clicks are 30 dB below the main 
signal (typical in the unmodified FT-1000MP), barefoot the 
click is 100 milliwatt (100/1000).  When you amplify the signal 
by 15 (100 -> 1500 Watts) the click becomes roughly 1.5 watts. 

This is rather simplified ... but you get the idea.
