I hate these concentric knobs - that is one thing that keeps me going back
to the old A-4.  The VRF though, has a different quality to it - it is not
just desensing, it is one of those things you have to try.  In some cases,
it even seems like a noise blanker.  For the first six months or so, I
didn't touch it - primarily, because the literature states that it is for a
multi-op situation.  But now, as I said, I use it all the time.
Unfortunately, I am mostly on 17, so I cannot use it.  Maybe George can
figure out something to extend its range.  It was interesting to see that
the IC-7800 is using a passband frontend, in addition to selectable roofing
filters.  Tom W6EIJ

BTW, I wonder if George at INRAD has made any further progress on the
selectable roofing filters for the MP.
