[1000mp] Mark V hum

I had a similar problem and this is what I found out:
1. I had the compression turned up enough that the vibration from the
Mark V fan was vibrating the table top and was picked up by the
MD-100A8X sitting on the table.
2. When trying different mics, I noticed that if wiggled the mic cable
at the rig or had the mic connector unscrewed from the front panel but
still pluged in, the hum was gone. That turned out to be a bad Heil
mic cable.

Whenever the speech processor is activated I receive reports of a hum. Any
comments on what may be going on here?
thanks
