[1000mp] FT-1000mp will not switch to transmit - help...

My MP was working fine until I turned it on the other day. 
Now it will not switch to transmit. I have tried MOX, VOX, 
PTT, CW keying, but it just stays in receive. The only way
to get it to transmit is to push the "Tune" button. Once that 
switches it to transmit, the only way to return to receive is to
turn the radio off and back on.

I reset the CPU and that didn't change anything.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the
cure.
