[1000mp] MK V Tuner Issue

I use the MK-V with a Collins 30S1 linear.
I use the linear 15m band on 17m. The input SWR on 17m is around 2:1 so I
use the MK-V TUNER.
Recently I have noticed that the tuner setting occasional needs
reprogramming when using SSB. This seems to be caused by speaking a
millisecond or two before the linear antenna relay has really engaged. I'm
not sure if it is a glitch causing the stored settings to change, or if the
"smarts" in the MK-V causes it to re-tune because of the momentary high
SWR. Anybody know the answer?
It is strange that this has only just started happening after 18mths of use
of the MK-V.
On CW breaking you can set a delay (up to 30mS) before the rig transmits
after the PTT is activated. It would be nice if something equivalent
existed on SSB.
