[1000mp] FT-767 Need Help

Hi Dave

If you still have problem with the VFO ..Yaesu has a new magnetic encoder
replacement for the radio. The old one is optical. I had a 767 that I
replace the encoder. The old optical one is not available,  that's why they
went with the new one. It is electrically the same , but much smaller in
physical size.The one problem is the mounting hole in the radios front panel
has to be enlarge a little to accommodate the bigger thread size.. no big
deal with a hand reamer. The results are well worth it ...It tunes smooth as
silk ... just like the new radios and my 1000mp .....the encoder cost around
$60.00 dollars from yaesu parts
