[1000mp] FT-767 Need Help

I had this happen on my FT1000D. 
When I called Yaesu they suggested removing the knob, add a drop or two of 
WD-40 and try to rotate the shaft. Slowly but surely it freed up and is good as 
new.
Evidently the lubricant from the factory dried out after so many years.
Hope this simple fix cures your problem.
