Hello Al,
The 2nd IF (8,215 MHz) is the most important to install in the first place.
Put the selectivity just as near to your antenna as you can.
The 455 kHz IF filters could be bought later on. The are more expensive
because they are more difficult to manufacture.
In the main RX I use Inrad only in the 2nd and 3rd IF:
2800
2100
1000
400
In the Sub Rx it is:
2800 Hz Inrad instead of the Murata ceramic
600 Hz from Yaesu
If you want I have some photos for you.
BTW; the Width and Shift of the Mark V works tremendous, especially when all
the filters are installed.
