[1000mp] Bad Antenna Relay?

Now there's the question!
Some of us have experienced this intermittently on the original MP for
years. Mine first demonstrated this behavior in 1999, on a DXpedition. It
was worked on by Yaesu techs under warranty when I came home, but they could
not reproduce the problem, even when specifically instructed how to do so.
Parts (including a relay) were replaced, and arrived with the rig,in a bag
but unidentified. The problem appeared to be mitigated---but came back
several years later. Comparing notes with other sufferers, I found that
Yaesu has had nothing to say, even when directly queried, and even after
repeated discussions on this Reflector. And I mean nothing---not even the
courtesy of a response.
Good luck getting any help from them.
As for me, Yaesu's stonewalling will be a factor in the next rig purchase
decision. I don't appreciate being blown off by people who sell me $3K
radios.

Subject: [1000mp] Bad Antenna Relay?
I've got an MP MARK-V - for a while when using antenna A the receiver
sensitivity would be way down when switching from xmit to receive. Hitting
the MOX button once or twice would fix it. Now it's doing it on antenna B
also - guess I'll have to fix it. I'd guess it's a relay with dirty
contacts - right? Where is it?
Thanks for any tips
