[1000mp] Filters

The FT-1000MP comes stock with a 500 Hz filter in the  8.215 MHz I.F. and
it is a solder-in filter, so what you're saying has me puzzled. 

Refer to the photo on page 100 of the manual -- the 8.215 MHz IF 500 Hz
filter is the 2nd one down in the column of filters in the right side of
the photo.  The 455kHz IF filters are in the column on the left side of
the photo.

Make sure that munu item 5-2 (2nd IF 500 Hz Filter) is "on" to activate
that filter.

If the filter is in the correct slot and is activated (and it still
doesn't work), then the filter is bad.
