You are very right about the WIDTH control! Thanks for your supplementary
comments.
I have the same combination of filters in my 1000D as you have.
In the Mark V I use a combination of 1000 and a combination of 400 Hz for
CW. During contests I find the 1000 Hz filters very useful.
