[1000mp] Ft1000mp fixed

Hi Robin,

glad to hear about resolved problem. I do not recall what was the original
culprit with the ft-1k. As I do have also one MP (June 2000) and also oldie
TS-930S which are known for bad solder joints, WOULD THE LIST KINDLY
ENLIGHTEN US ABOUT THAT TOPIC. I would like to hear as much as possible
about bad soldering, cures and so on... Thanks for the space,

P.s.Yeah, as a former radio operator in merchant marine, I wonder where we
are heading with formidable technology which could not guarantee reasonable
life span of radio equipments! Now, anyone out there, remember how DRAKE,
COLLINS tested quality of soldering and firmness of its wire harness and
joints? ( A real story or joke about Art Collins inspecting the assembly
line?)

Hi all
        I am pleased to report that my FT1000mp is now working 100% after
having dead bands on 30,20,12, and 10 metres.
I couldn't have fixed the problem without the help of the members of the
forum EI7BA John in Cork and also help from SM0KCO Carlos in Sweden, I would
like to thank them both very much as I couldn't have done it without them.
I had to go over the soldered joints several time before everything was back
to normal, now tow the MP is working as it should do.
