I had a problem with my tuner and rf unit also. It was an exciting 300+
dollar repair out of warranty. In all fairness the problem blasted a hole
in the rf unit and it had to be replaced. I havent heard anyone speak of
the problem officially but I think the tuner is gets hung up with rf. if
the problem persists then the t/r relay hangs and you shoot your transmitted
signal into your receiver. Looks like you caught it before it was fatal.

> I developed some problems with the receiver and tuner boards on my 4 month
old Mark V that required some warranty work at the Service Center. Decided
to send it back to the distributor, Burghardt Amateur Center and was happily
surprised at the one (1) day turn around and what I would consider excellent
customer communication by their tech. also.

on the RF unit. Sure wish I knew how or what caused the problem to occur to
avoid it happening again, as rig was working fine on 20 meters and went
"west" when I switched to 30 meters. Anyone have a clue?
