Subject: [1000mp] Yeasu Service ?

Do I need to reinvent the wheel or does someone already have the correct
working phone number for Yaesu Repair?

I need to send my plain vanilla FT-1000MP back for service with no audio.
This is the first time that I have sent it back to Yaesu. I need help with
the following questions:
1. Do I need to contact them first before sending it back?
Not necessarily, they like you to call to make sure it is really a problem,
but they say just send it back with a note. No return authorization numbers
are required.
2. What is the correct phone number to contact them?
	714-827-7600 X6400
3. If I send it back in the original boxes, will I get the same boxes back?
Yes (assuming it arrives in good condition).
4. What is the approximate turn around time?
Currently two weeks plus transit time.
5. What is the approximate cost?
Not sure of current hourly rate plus part cost.

73,
George K3GV
