[1000mp] Yaesu 1000MP - No Audio

I was working DX and listening and suddenly lost al audio from my FT-1000MP 
plain vanilla not MK-V. Purchased April 1998. I have disconnected the 
external speaker and done a reset. The S meter is moving as if there is a 
signal but still no audio. Same on all bands.

Any suggestions?
