Two cents worth from K8GG:
In my personal opinion the AL1200 is a good amplifier but not heavy enough
for 1200 - 1500 watts out as a run station, as I have observed too much heat
build up operating such a unit. I am more comfortable with Alphas and other
2 x 3CX800A7 amplifiers.
The AL1200 runs quite warm with 50 to 55 watts drive and 600 - 650 watts
output. PJ2T and PJ2X use an exhaust fan on top of the cabinet to help
extract the warm air since there is no chimney to the top of the cabinet.
