[1000mp] NB mod - no joy

Opened my MP to find that the instructions I had found on W8JI's website via
VA3CR's website are for MK V and FT-1000... NOT for an MP.

If I read it correctly, however, the MP will also benefit ten db of IMD from
being modified.  Or is it that the MP, NB off and dial rotated CCW, does not
need the mod???

I checked archives and VA3CR website and all related referrences, could not
find details of modifying the MP for the NB IMD problem.

Can someone provide clarification on this, doe sthe MP benefit from the mod,
and if so, where can details be found???
